1.Soak a cotton ball in arrack (forehead width), and put it on the forehead, lie with it for 30 minutes in a dark room. Put onion slices on forehead and relax with your eyes closed for 20-30 minutes. Stir 1 teaspoon of lavender leaves to a cup of boiling water, cool and drink 3 times daily.
2.Tylenol capsules or aspirin.
3.A nice warm cloth or one of those popcorn type closed end pillows, throw it in the microwave for less than a minute, then put it on the side of your head that hurts.Turn down the lights, or get one of those eye masks to cut out the light altogether. If you don't live alone, ask the people in your home to keep the noise to a minimum. Get lots of rest and if you work nights, make sure to get extra sleep.Don't eat heavy foods or foods with red sauce. (Spaghetti, Lasagna, ect.)Don't eat either too hot or too cold of foods.
4.Coffee blocks certain receptors in the brain.
5.I like a cup of chamomile tea.
I believe the properties of chamomile tea are soothing. And the anti-oxidants of tea purify the body,black or herbal tea is also great for combating indigestion and illness.
6.Try "Headon" It is a rub on product. BC's, "Headon" and Imitrex (prescription)
7.Cold or hot pack at the base of your neck helps as well to sooth throbbing head pain cause by the headaches. Sleeping in a cool dark room is a good way to relax as well.
8.Try this: drink a tall glass of water, then another glassful.
Relax in a darkened room away from noise. Close your eyes, do not read, watch TV. If you have some quiet music play it, but stay away from anything with a heavy bass line. Place a cool cloth over your eyes. Stay away from strong fragrances. A warm shower can also be soothing.
9.You can apply a small amount of liminent rub over the affected area and gently massage it with your fingers for several minutes then take a rest. Applying Ice helps as well as the freezing temperature of the ice overrides the pain in the head, keeping the pain off temporarily
10.Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohol.
Sweet foods, Coconut water,sweet fruits, milk, rice, sprouts, salads and good sleep will help you.
11.Cherry extract is as powerful an anti-inflammatory as ibuprofen.
12.Boil some water and put it into a bowl. Put your face over the bowl and a small towel over your head to keep the steam from escaping. Breathe in the steam and it should help you.
